Over 300 people wrote to council leader Helen Holland to protest against our funding cut, and when the recommendations went to the Cabinet on 31 July we were awarded a further 6 months funding to 31 March 2009.
Over 300 people wrote to council leader Helen Holland in protest, and when the recommendations went to the Cabinet on 31 July we were awarded a further 6 months funding to 31 March 2009. This is great and gives us more time to sort things out, although we still don’t have the 3 year funding agreement we need. August was holiday after working round the clock for months on TRADE IT? We started back a couple of weeks ago and have just submitted a formal appeal to the council. We’ll let you know what happens – we should hear the outcome within two weeks.

Creative Producer Sheila Hannon co-founded Show of Strength in 1986 and was joined in 2005 by Gill Loats as Associate Producer. Between them they have a wealth of experience and networks in Bristol, across the South-West and beyond.
