Corporate Angel/Sponsorship

TRADE IT? was launched at the beginning of May with wine and canapes courtesy of our hospitality partners City Inn.

Catherine Johnson and Sandi Toksvig posed together for our photographer Zuleika Henry.

Audiences and Publicity
Performances will be seen by over 2000 people, with print distributed city wide. All sponsors are credited on all print and on SOS’s website (with link). SOS’s work is featured in local, regional and national press & media. With Bristol Old Vic’s closure (to December 2008), TRADE IT? is one of the main theatre events of the year.

Umbrella Sponsorship
We’ve been sponsored by several law practices with the donation of ‘golf’ umbrellas with the sponsor’s logo on. These are distributed if the heavens open (once so far) The sponsorship was launched with a photocall to publicise the event

Hospitality Partner
As the event is outdoors, City Inn is our ‘Hospitality Partner’. Located close to the performance route, City Inn has offered:
A space to meet with our writers to finalise scripts/performance
A venue for our press launch

Our print was distributed, thanks to a fantastic design from The Institute of Physics publishing and printed by Ambassador Printers. The highlight of the evening was a demonstration by Sandi Toksvig ‘How to put a TRADE IT? sticker on your wheelie bin.’ TRADE IT? ‘graffiti’ appeared all over Bristol, mostly on wheelie bins, and a few on cars and other ingenious places.

The Institute of Physics Publishing attended the * World Premiere* of *TRADE IT?*on Monday 23rd June.

We have benefited from support from corporate angels and sponsorship for many of our past shows (Hitacchi, Royal Mail, Ansells, Arnos manor Hotel) and a have a range of benefits that we can offer to companies interested in associating themselves with Show of Strength Theatre Company and we are 21 this year!

During Show of Strength’s time as a Pub Theatre at the Hen and Chicken, we had a 5 year sponsorship deal with brewers Ansells. Ansells marketing company said it was the best value sponsorship they had

We could offer;

  • An annual SOS performance in the work place or venue of your choice. Traditionally we work in non- traditional theatre spaces and consequently we are designing shows that are easily adaptable to a variety of venues. Our current touring production ‘An Audience with Sarah Guppy’ is perfect.
  • Staff could automatically become ‘Angels’ and therefore get invited to special previews/press nights and could apply for discounted tickets.
  • Your logo or strap line in our publicity

We have exciting opportunities coming up for our next two shows,
infact we have lots of other ideas that can be easily adapted to yours.
