48 free shows, Wells City Centre, Saturday 21 March, 10.30am-4.15 pm.
We’re working with Wells Festival of Literature on a new version of the project that turns high streets into theatres.
12 great short scripts have been selected from nearly 40 submissions.
We’ve got shows in a shoe shop — Basil Powell, a butcher — Griffiths & Sons, a florist — Lynnsey Kelly Flowers and Wells Film Centre 3 Screen Cinema, to name but four.
And six great actors: William Bateman, Kirsty Cox, Rachael Fagan, David Reake, Lynda Rooke and Chris Yapp.
Join us from 10.30 to see a show, have a coffee, shop, see another show, lunch — and repeat. All the shows are free, so what’s not to like?
And here’s a delighted Mary Portas watching us in Ashton Fruit shop, Bristol »
Crewkerne is a lovely Somerset town with some great shops.
We worked with writers in and around the town and there’ll be live performances all over the high street so put Saturday 31 May in your diary.
Join us in Crewkerne when six professional actors stage 48 FREE live performances in shops in the town centre.
