TRADING LOCAL - Ashton Fruit Shop BS3

Join us in Crewkerne on Saturday 31 May when six professional actors stage 48 FREE live performances in shops in the town centre.

TRADING LOCAL began with free writing workshops to create scripts specifically for, and about, the town. 12 were selected for professional production and audiences, residents, shoppers & visitors will see the results on Saturday 31 May.

See a show in the butcher’s as well as a chop; get a story in the barber’s as well as a haircut; hear a tale in the café as well as your coffee brewing. Shop, take in a show; have a cup of tea; see another show; have some lunch – and repeat.

Crewkerne is a fabulous town, and TRADING LOCAL a glorious way to celebrate independent shops. A great day out, and all for free. What’s not to like?

Our audiences say, ‘superb event, truly innovative and imaginative’.
And shops say, ‘Lots of new people came in who’d never been in here before.’
